Effect: Spectral normalization (Filter designer) |
Description of
effect:
This effect creates filters. This filter can be used for
filtering a waveform, to have the same properties as another
waveform.
You should use this effect when you want one sound "have as much treble / bass etc, as an other sound"
Main benefit:
A filter can easily be constructed for a song or a sample that
has been recorder improperly. It is not easy to know whether the
recording has too much or too little bass / treble. These
parameters can be adjusted to be alike another song of your
liking.
Why not make your song more Motown-ish?
Lost treble can now be found again.
Description of parameters:
NOTE! The spectrum normalization effect is
two-part-operation! To begin, Pristine sounds first have to know
just how the song sounds like, before a suitable filter can be
constructed.
Load: Load a normalization target. The current song will assume the same spectral shape as the target. It is vital that a target is loaded before you can continue. Many targets have been included for you until you have some of your own in your database.
Preview: Press the 'Preview' button to test the effect to see if it is tuned properly. It is quicker than applying the effect and making an undo...
